The Austrian 'Institute for Sound-Massage-Therapy' was founded in 2002. We are aiming to be your most competent partner for basic and further education in Peter Hess-Sound massage in Austria, and to increase its popularity. Therefore we offer a variety of basic and advanced seminars for all interested people, especially for those working already in therapeutical, medical and/or social surroundings.

The completed basic education (sound massage 1-4 + evaluation) will be certified. The certificate enables our participators to practice "Peter Hess-sound massage" professionally and according to local law.*)

For our educated sound masseurs we organize different advanced trainings and tutorials with highly qualified teachers, trying to cover the rapidly growing range of applications for sound-massage-therapy.

Furthermore we are your competent partner concerning professional Peter Hess products Singing Bowls, Gongs, Cymbals for therapeutic use and other sound materials. We take our time for your consultation, just leave a message. Our institute provides you with a big variety of sound instruments (almost) anytime.

The Institute is directed by Alexander Beutel. In cooperation with the german 'Institute for Klang-Massage-Therapy' he organizes educations and seminars with Peter Hess, the founder of 'Sound Massage', and his co-teachers. He signs responsible for the increasing popularity of Peter Hess-sound massage in Austria and for the high quality education provided.

Authorized Tutors in Austria:

All our staff members are educated by Peter Hess.
They have been assisting Peter Hess and others for at least two years and have been authorized for Basic Education and Advanced Studies. All of them are experinced in practising and guarantee professional competence.
Continued communication in our team and with Peter Hess grant the high quality standards in our educations and help us to improve our courses to meet the demands of our customers.

Doris Regensburger leads our partner academy in western Austria, Peter Hess Academy Tyrol.

Our trainers lead basic courses in cooperation with Ausbildungszentrum Bergler Graz, Vitalakademie Wien, and WIFI Wien.
These courses are accepted by us and by the Peter Hess Institute in Germany in case of further studies.

Our Team

Alexander Beutel
I was born in 1954 near Hamburg. 1994 I completed civilservice exam in salutary massage and as a medical bath attendant, advanced tutorials to different massage techniques followed. Since 1988 I live in Vienna, teaching classical massage, lymph drainage, massage of connecting tissue (10 years at BFI-Wien). 1995 I met Peter Hess and learned the method he established, Peter Hess-Sound massage. I assisted his seminars in Austria for several years. 2000 I was authorized by Peter Hess to direct the education in Austria and 02 the Austrian Institute for Sound-Massage-Therapy was founded. Since 2009 the Institute consigned to the state of a Peter Hess Academy and offers various certifications.

Manuela Kainz
social pedagogist in Ybbs/Donau, working since 1992 for people with serious mental and multilateral impediment as sound-practitioner including sound-pedagogy. In our institute she is responsible for creative cooperation with schools (singing-bowls during lessons, sound-improved learning), kindergarten and other institutions concerning soundmassage. She directs the tutorial „Sound massage und sound games with children“ and accompanies children in crises situations (e.g. divorce or death within families).

Dr. Herbert Seitz
(born 1941) is working as a surgeon.
He studied medicine at Universitätsklinik Innsbruck and at Bezirkskrankenhaus Kufstein working for 35 years for accident surgery, common surgery, vascular surgery, orthopedy and physical medicin. That followed 10 years of medical director of Kurzentrum Bad Häring in the Tyrol.
For 4 years now he is in his own practice supplementing medical practice with Peter Hess-Sound therapy.

Priv.-Doz. Dr. med. Uwe H. Ross
born 1961, physician specialized in throat-nose-ears treatment and psychotherapist. For the Univ.-HNO-Klinik Freiburg he designed an innovative concept for Tinnitus-therapy using modern hypnotics and was therapeutical chief there from 1998-2002. He looks back on many years of experince using Sound-massage-therapy during ambulant and stationary work with a few hundred clients. Qualifications in Erickson’s Hypnosis, behaviour therapy and various bodywork-therapies. He is working as a physician, therapist and coach in his medical practice in Freiburg i. Breisgau, Germany, and will 2010 lead the advanced tutorial 'Sound massage and Tinnitus'.
